Happy 31st of August! (I know I know. It's not the 1st of September, but I am going to be super busy this week and I needed to make sure this got posted in time.)
Here is page 2O of Peter Pan the Vampire #1 the tale of how Peter meets a new slayer named Gwyen. The slayer was trying her hardest to stake Peter, but he got her to calm down a bit. He actually convinces her to stop trying to kill him and they talk it over. Peter takes the slayer Gwyen to the Neverland house where she first meets the Hawaiian (Neverland) vampires Maui and Pele. On this page she finally meets Wendy. . . Wendies? and Tinkerbelle.
What will happen next?
I hope that I see a bunch of ya at DRAW NIGHT on Friday the 4th of September at the Tremonton City Library here in Utah. I have posted a flyer for that event on the rentnarb page.
Check in again on September 16th for another peek and some more of the story.
As many of my followers already know I am currently coloring my comics with Photoshop with the lessons I've learned from Brian and Kristy Miller's Hi-Fi Color for Comics. This page right here and the issue it comes from were colored with Prisma Color pencils and a lot of the details got lost in the scanner.
Issue 3 has been turned in to Ka-blam Printing I will be releasing my comics in 12 page issues from here on out so that I can release them sooner and hopefully reduce the prices of them as well. I am the only employee of Rentnarb Studios Comics so I am doing this entire book on my own. I write it, draw it, color it, sell it, promote it, you name it I do it. I thought 12 pagers would help with getting them out and shortening the waiting time too.
Well. . . Good news everybody! I just turned in my pages for issue 3 to Ka-Blam Digital Printing and I will be premiering issue three at Salt Lake Comic Con on September 24th, 25th, and 26th!!!!! I am so excited for this. I have a grayscale issue for those of you who like to spend a little less or prefer that look. I will have a color version for those of you who want the full effect and this color one will have a guest artist on the cover by Drew Johnson from Iuka Gumi Arts who will be joining me at the SLCC artist alley table. I will release the cover I did myself after the convention. I will also be having for my first time a sketch cover that you can request anything you want. if you've been wanting to see what Superman, Spider-man, or Invincible would look like drawn by me then you will have the chance to ask for it!
I can't wait to see you all there. If you are unable to make it to Salt Lake let me know if you want a sketch cover and we will arrange something for you!
